ADF Rehabilitation Consultant

About the role

Acumen Health is recruiting an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant to join a national team delivering occupational rehabilitation for Australian Defence Force personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. The role takes a holistic, person-centred approach within a multidisciplinary team, with clear clinical governance and structured approaches including trauma-informed practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support injured ADF personnel from rehab to healing, applying clinical reasoning skills
• Perform assessments such as functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic and activities of daily living assessments
• Collaborate with the injured employee, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
• Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans
• Work to KPIs based on service delivery outcomes, not billable hours

Required profile

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW)
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
• Australian citizenship
• At least one year of clinical work experience, registered in your chosen profession
• Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams; occupational rehabilitation experience is highly regarded
