Actuarial Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Actuarial Consultant to join its Analytics Solutions team within the Risk Consulting Pacific division. The role is based in Sydney (Barangaroo) with a hybrid working model, requiring at least three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply actuarial modelling techniques to support client projects and advisory work.
• Execute end‑to‑end delivery of client engagements, ensuring high‑quality and timely outcomes.
• Communicate technical insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Participate in projects such as actuarial reserving, technical pricing, stochastic loss modelling, risk finance optimisation and limit validation reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Degree qualification in Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Statistics or a related technical discipline.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and think critically in a fast‑paced environment.
