Accounts Receivable Officer (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Good Drinks Australia is seeking a proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to join its finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This hands‑on, transactional position sits at the core of cash‑flow management, handling a high volume of receipts and complex customer accounts across wholesalers and retail chains.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts receivable for a high‑volume ledger covering wholesaler and national/independent chain customers.
• Process and allocate customer receipts, credit notes and adjustments accurately in NetSuite (Oracle).
• Reconcile customer accounts, clear unallocated cash, and chase overdue or disputed balances to resolution.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and clearing discrepancies promptly.
• Support month‑end close with AR reporting, accruals and doubtful‑debt provisions.
• Provide receivables forecasts to aid cash‑flow forecasting and finance planning.
• Monitor credit limits and payment terms, escalating at‑risk accounts to the Senior Accountant.

Required profile

• Solid accounts receivable experience, preferably within FMCG.
• Comfortable working at high volume with strong attention to detail.
• Self‑starter able to meet deadlines and deliver independently.
• Relevant qualification or progress towards one in accounting, finance or credit management.

Required skills

• Hands‑on ERP experience – NetSuite (Oracle) preferred; comparable systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS or MS Dynamics acceptable.
• Advanced Excel and reconciliation skills.
