Accounts Payable / Receivable Team Leader

About the role

A well-established organisation in the Albury/Wodonga region is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable Team Leader to lead a small finance team. You will oversee the day-to-day AP and AR function, improve processes and streamline workflows, combining leadership with hands-on involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a small AP/AR team
• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes
• Monitor workloads and ensure deadlines are met
• Manage reconciliations, payment runs and debtor management
• Resolve escalated supplier and customer enquiries
• Partner with internal stakeholders and support month-end activities and reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Team Lead, Supervisor or Senior AP position highly desirable
• Demonstrated people leadership capability
• Strong end-to-end AP and AR knowledge
• Process improvement mindset with strong attention to detail

Required skills

• Experience using accounting or ERP systems
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
