Accounting High School Leaver Program 2027 – CA Fundamentals Pathway

About the role

BDO offers a paid, full-time High School Leavers Program for people who finished high school within the past three years and want to start an accounting career without university. Participants earn while they learn, working alongside experienced professionals on real client work, and study online with CA ANZ towards a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (GradDipCA). BDO covers the cost of the online study and provides paid study leave.

The pathway begins with CA Fundamentals in the first year, then CA Foundations in the second year, and continues through the CA Program over about four years. Depending on location and availability, roles may be in Audit, Business Services or CFO Advisory.

Required profile

• 18 years of age or older when the program starts
• Completed high school within the past three years (from 2024)
• Completed a Year 12 Mathematics subject
• Australian citizen, permanent resident or has full right to work in Australia
• Strong interest in accounting, business or commerce
