Accountant

About the role

This permanent position is with a growing global FMCG company that supplies retail and hospitality businesses. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead the full accounting cycle and supervise a small finance team while providing financial and commercial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and credit management.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close, reconciliations, journal entries and provisions.
• Prepare management reports, budgets, variance analysis and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Handle BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG and payroll tax compliance.
• Supervise payroll processes, staff onboarding and terminations.
• Monitor intercompany transactions, landed costs and coordinate audit, insurance and asset management.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a qualified accountant.
• Bi‑lingual in Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Previous experience in FMCG, hospitality, food manufacturing or distribution is highly desirable.
• Proven experience supervising or mentoring staff.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
