Accountant – Fixed‑Term (6 months)

About the role

Join ITW Construction Products Asia Pacific as a key member of the Shared Services Finance team. This fixed‑term position supports accurate financial reporting across Australia, New Zealand and an overseas subsidiary, helping maintain financial integrity for a Fortune 300 organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities, including balance sheet, P&L and corporate reporting to the US.
• Maintain the general ledger, journals, reconciliations, provisions and key accounting estimates.
• Partner with Divisional Controllers, Business Analysts and Finance leaders to analyse business performance.
• Support payroll processing, statutory compliance and financial reporting for an overseas subsidiary.
• Assist internal and external audits and ensure compliance with ITW policies and reporting standards.
• Drive process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency and business insight.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 5+ years of financial accounting experience in a complex or matrix environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month‑end processes and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience; Pronto experience is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across functions.
