Accountant – Early Career Finance Role

About the role
Join a small, collaborative finance team within a diverse South Australian family‑owned business. This position is ideal for a motivated early‑career professional who wants to support day‑to‑day finance operations while gaining exposure to multiple industries.
Key responsibilities
- Process payroll and manage related compliance.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform month‑end close activities.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash reporting.
- Prepare routine financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Assist with budgeting and post‑review of operational activities.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous process improvement.
Required profile
- Proactive and adaptable accountant with a strong desire to learn.
- Degree qualified in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Possesses a valid driver’s licence and own transport.
- Willing to cover business operations during leave or absence periods.
- Tech‑savvy and curious about leveraging automation.
