Accountant – Business Services

About the role

BDO is seeking an Accountant to join its Business Services team, working with privately owned businesses, family groups and high‑net‑worth individuals. You will deliver high‑quality client outcomes while gaining exposure to a broad range of compliance and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a variety of entities.
• Assist with BAS, FBT and other taxation compliance obligations.
• Maintain accurate, well‑documented workpapers and support tax planning engagements.
• Provide business structuring, cash‑flow forecasting and general business advice to clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in a Business Services or public practice accounting environment.
• CA or CPA studies underway, or intention to commence.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
