Account Manager - Key Accounts

About the role

Refuel Creative, an agency serving eCommerce, B2B and Government clients, is adding a dedicated Account Management layer so its specialists can focus on delivery. As the first dedicated Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of 10 to 15 high-quality client accounts, including B2B RevOps retainers, government and not-for-profit accounts and long-term DTC brands (eCommerce performance accounts are handled separately). The role is open to agency veterans and offers a path to Head of Client Services.

Key responsibilities

• Run weekly check-ins, monthly reviews and quarterly strategy sessions, setting the agenda, presenting results and capturing actions
• Translate client priorities into tasks for the delivery team using project management tools, chasing work proactively and escalating risks early
• Quality assure reports, decks, creative and ads before they reach the client
• Partner with sales and Finance to ensure work delivered equals work billed, and identify upsell and retention opportunities

Required profile

• 5+ years of client-facing project or account management in a digital marketing agency; in-house or non-agency PM experience does not fit this role
• Strong emotional intelligence and awareness of client and team needs
• Comfortable with AI and willing to integrate it into your workflow
• Enjoys hitting targets measured by client retention, NPS, upsell revenue and project margin

Required skills

• Project management tools such as Teamwork, Asana or ClickUp
• Working knowledge of paid media, email marketing, SEO and web
• Bonus: HubSpot, Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Shopify or Government/NFP account experience
