General Manager - Digital Agency

About the role

Refuel Creative, a digital agency founded in Adelaide nine and a half years ago and now a HubSpot Platinum, Google Premier and Meta Business partner, is hiring its first-ever General Manager. The company has rebuilt its financials and processes to ISO 9001 standards and wants a leader to take ownership of the business, improve margins and drive growth toward a 24/7 global agency. The role is based in Adelaide (or relocation) for a flexible hybrid setup.

Key responsibilities

• Owning the P&L: financial performance, margin improvement, project returns, pricing discipline and resourcing
• Running the day-to-day together with the Operations Manager to tighten systems and build mature workflows
• Driving sales success by setting goals, tracking revenue targets and coaching the team to win bigger deals
• Leading the leadership group, managing hiring and performance, and protecting the company culture
• Challenging and shaping the growth roadmap

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 in leadership or general management
• Agency, SaaS or professional services background, with a strong grasp of team capacity economics
• Proven financial acumen owning a P&L and managing margins
• People leader who has earned the trust of distributed teams
• Strong values alignment with the company
• Willingness to relocate to Adelaide or work a flexible hybrid role

Required skills

• Experience scaling businesses past $5M is a big plus
• Knowledge of HubSpot, EOS Integrator roles or managing global teams is a bonus
