Account Manager - Hot Water

About the role

Daikin is launching into the Australian hot water market and is looking for an Account Manager - Hot Water to lead its launch and commercial expansion across Victoria. Reporting to the State Manager (VIC Sales), you will build a specialist partner network, drive revenue growth and establish Daikin as a leading brand in hot water systems.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage relationships with hot water specialists, plumbers, contractors and builders across Victoria to meet sales targets and grow market share.
• Drive sales utilisation using internal analytics (ABC reporting) and negotiate win-win outcomes within company pricing and credit frameworks.
• Act as the technical and commercial advocate for Daikin Hot Water products, promoting features and benefits at industry events, product rollouts and customer forums.
• Use industry and plumbing knowledge to interpret layouts, schematics and installation drawings and guide specialists on accurate product selection and compliance.
• Oversee project quoting and ordering in line with governance and J-SOX guidelines, and monitor and report market trends and competitor movements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in hot water, plumbing or related building products.
• Proven success in sales or key account management in the hot water or plumbing wholesale space.
• Strong understanding of domestic plumbing, hot water systems, drainage and venting, and Australian Plumbing Standards and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret plumbing schematics and installation drawings.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, with strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder influence skills.
