Traffic Engineer – Melbourne, Geelong or Hobart

About the role

WGA’s Traffic and Waste team is expanding and is looking for Traffic Engineers to work on a variety of infrastructure projects across Australia, including renewable energy sites, residential and industrial developments, land‑use planning, traffic management plans and site safety audits. The position can be based in Melbourne, Geelong or Hobart and involves close collaboration with local project teams and clients. WGA is a multidisciplinary engineering and project management consultancy with over 800 staff, delivering complex infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. The Traffic and Waste team has built a strong reputation for high‑quality outcomes across diverse sectors and regions.

Required profile

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport/Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in traffic engineering or transport planning.
• Strong communication and client‑interface abilities with a proven record of delivering optimal outcomes.
• Passion for traffic engineering and a willingness to continuously learn.
• Experience preparing traffic impact assessment reports and solid knowledge of the Planning Scheme and Australian Standards.
