About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Storage Architect with deep expertise in unstructured data, AI and analytics workloads. This remote, customer‑facing position influences solution design, adoption and product strategy for enterprise‑scale file and object storage.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to design scalable file and S3 object storage solutions for AI, analytics and enterprise workloads.
• Size storage environments based on capacity, throughput, latency, network bandwidth, growth and availability requirements.
• Lead technical workshops, assessments, benchmarks and hands‑on proofs of concept.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in S3, NFS and SMB and translate AI/analytics pipeline needs into storage designs.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to feed customer requirements into roadmap priorities.

Required profile

• 7+ years designing, implementing or supporting enterprise storage and data architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong customer‑facing consulting or presales experience.
• Ability to travel for customer engagements as needed.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of S3 object storage (buckets, APIs, authentication, data protection).
• Working knowledge of enterprise file protocols NFS and SMB.
• Experience with AI inference, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, data lakes/Lakehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms, distributed query engines and GPU‑based AI pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Dell PowerScale/ObjectScale, Pure Storage FlashBlade, NetApp ONTAP/StorageGRID, VAST Data, Scality or other S3‑compatible solutions.
• Understanding of hybrid and multi‑cloud storage services on AWS, Azure and GCP.
