Talent Acquisition Consultant - Engineering Recruitment

About the role

Aurecon is looking for a high-performing recruiter to deliver talent solutions across complex engineering disciplines. Based in its North Sydney office, this full-time 12-month contract suits someone who can hit the ground running, operate across mid to senior-level roles, manage multiple priorities and influence hiring outcomes in a fast-paced environment supporting critical engineering infrastructure portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for mid to senior roles across Engineering portfolios in NSW and ACT
• Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored hiring strategies
• Sourcing, engaging and assessing high-quality talent through direct, market-led and innovative approaches
• Balance volume and complexity while maintaining quality outcomes
• Provide market insights, guidance and recruitment best practice to stakeholders
• Leverage recruitment systems, emerging technology and process improvements to improve efficiency, consistency and candidate experience
• Ensure strong governance, process compliance and an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle

Required profile

• Mix of internal (in-house) and agency recruitment experience
• Demonstrated success recruiting mid to senior professionals, ideally in engineering technical environments
• Ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and deliver results
• Confidence partnering with business managers and senior leaders
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
• Commercial acumen and an agile, solutions-focused approach

Required skills

• Experience with recruitment systems and ATS platforms (Workday experience preferred)
• Confidence using and exploring AI-enabled tools, data insights and process improvements
