About the role
As a Solution Architect at Bridgit, you will ensure that today’s builds continue to support the future business. You will work across Product and Engineering, turning business needs into clear, scalable, and secure designs.
Key responsibilities
- Translate business and product requirements into solution designs covering components, data flows, integration points and non‑functional requirements.
- Define and maintain target‑state architecture for loan origination, credit decisioning, settlements, broker and aggregator channels, and customer‑facing applications.
- Design API‑led and event‑driven integrations with aggregators, brokers and third‑party providers.
- Collaborate with the Lead AI Engineer to integrate AI capabilities such as ATLAS with core systems.
- Evaluate vendors and make build‑vs‑buy recommendations balancing speed, cost, risk and maintainability.
- Embed security, privacy and compliance into every design in line with regulatory obligations.
- Run design reviews, record architecture decisions and coach engineers on best practices.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leads to size, sequence and de‑risk roadmap work.
Required profile
- 7+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years in solution, enterprise or technical architecture, preferably in regulated fintech or lending.
- Proven experience designing and delivering distributed, cloud‑based systems on a major platform such as AWS.
- Strong grounding in API design, integration patterns and event‑driven architecture.
- Solid understanding of security, data privacy and resilience in regulated environments.
- Exposure to AI and LLM‑enabled systems and their governance.
- Clear communicator who can simplify complex technical ideas for executives and product teams.
