About the role
Join AWS Infrastructure Services to design, develop, test, and maintain software that powers Amazon's global cloud infrastructure. You will work with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to deliver high‑availability, secure, and cost‑effective solutions for AWS data centers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve distributed system software.
- Investigate design approaches, prototype new technologies, and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Write high‑quality code, perform peer code‑reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
- Provide technical direction, establish architectural principles, and mentor junior engineers.
- Create and review design documentation, SOPs, and knowledge‑transfer material.
Required profile
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one language and working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object‑oriented design.
Required skills
- AWS services and infrastructure.
