Senior System Engineer – Managed Services (Sydney)

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking Managed Service Provider in Sydney as a Senior System Engineer. You will own Level 3 escalations, guide junior staff, and shape the security and automation roadmap for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Handle Level 3 incidents end‑to‑end across Microsoft 365, Windows Server and end‑user environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Participate in new client onboarding, reviewing designs, identifying security gaps and configuring environments from day one.
• Advise clients on security posture, Essential Eight controls and Conditional Access/MFA implementations.
• Develop and refine automation scripts and internal tooling.
• Document processes and contribute to evolving MSP standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting client infrastructure in an MSP or multi‑client setting.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Microsoft 365, Windows Server and end‑user platforms.
• Ability to manage complex escalations and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Passion for improving processes, security practices and automation.
