Integration Architect – SAP S/4HANA (6‑month contract)

About the role

You will join the Queensland State Government as an Integration Architect on a high‑impact Central Pharmacy transformation project. This 6‑month contract role focuses on designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions across SAP S/4HANA and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end technical design of integration solutions, ensuring scalability, security and alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with solution architects, functional teams and enterprise stakeholders to define integration patterns and system interfaces.
• Design and implement integration approaches using SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, SAP BTP and CPI.
• Define connectivity frameworks covering APIs, IDocs, REST/SOAP services, authentication and network requirements.
• Produce architectural artefacts including Solution Architecture and Implementation Designs.
• Ensure solutions meet governance, compliance and industry best practices.
• Translate complex technical concepts for business and non‑technical audiences.
• Support knowledge transfer and capability uplift across internal teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Integration Architecture within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA integration design and architecture.
• Proven experience with SAP integration technologies (BTP, CPI, IDocs, RFC, OData, REST, SOAP).
• Demonstrated ability to design secure, scalable, high‑performing integration solutions.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, security and identity frameworks (SSO, OAuth, SAML).
• Experience producing architectural documentation such as SAD and SID.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical environments is desirable.
