Senior Estimator - Water Infrastructure

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimating for large‑scale water infrastructure projects, including desalination and drinking‑water treatment facilities. The role will be based in Brisbane and will support the tender phase through to project delivery, working closely with engineering, commercial and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for major desalination and water‑treatment projects.
• Lead detailed quantity take‑offs and robust cost forecasting across mechanical, electrical, civil and subcontracted scopes.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously and act as the primary interface with senior leadership.
• Coordinate estimates, review and refine them based on client feedback and project requirements.
• Participate in pre‑ and post‑bid meetings ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.
• Partner with internal teams and key subcontractors to obtain pricing for labour, materials and specialist equipment.
• Maintain and enhance historical cost databases for future estimating work.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in cost estimating for multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical capability with deep knowledge of mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Ability to transition estimates from the tender phase into project delivery.
• Experience working closely with engineering, commercial, procurement and leadership teams.
