Senior Audit Lead – People and Risk Culture

About the role

The Senior Audit Lead – People & Risk Culture is responsible for leading complex, risk‑culture focused audit engagements. Reporting to the Audit Director, the role provides independent assurance and insight to senior business stakeholders and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex audit engagements that assess risk culture and behavioural risk.
• Manage audit delivery against agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Contribute to annual and ongoing audit planning for the People & Risk Culture portfolio.
• Support the development of risk‑culture capability across the Internal Audit function.
• Provide specialist judgement on people risk and behavioural drivers of risk for audit teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, preferably within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of risk culture, governance and behavioural risk concepts.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and present audit findings to the Board.
• Demonstrated track record of managing audit projects to successful completion.
