SAP S/4HANA ABAP Lead Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a SAP S/4HANA ABAP Lead Consultant to design, develop, and implement technical solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments. The role collaborates closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust ABAP specifications and deliver high‑quality SAP services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and convert business needs into technical ABAP specifications and custom enhancements.
• Design, develop, test, and support custom ABAP programs, BAPIs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms (RICEF) and IDocs.
• Build and optimise Core Data Services (CDS) views, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) and OData services for Fiori/UI5 and analytical applications.
• Create user interfaces using Fiori Elements and SAPUI5, as well as Smart Forms and Adobe Forms, and manage printing technologies.
• Conduct unit testing, support integration testing, troubleshoot and tune performance of ABAP solutions.
• Implement extensibility strategies for S/4HANA, including RAP for cloud, Steampunk and ABAP in the Cloud frameworks.
• Assist in data migration activities: design extraction, transformation, loading procedures, and perform data reconciliation and accuracy auditing.
• Produce technical documentation such as specifications, estimation reports, transport instructions and maintenance guides.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development.
• Ability to work closely with functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience delivering detailed technical specifications and documentation.
• Capability to mentor and guide junior developers.
