Project Manager – Mining Infrastructure

About the role

The Global Mining Operator is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of non‑process infrastructure upgrades at an overseas mine. Based in Brisbane with occasional travel to the site, you will oversee the full project lifecycle from pre‑feasibility through construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project using the company’s Project Management System, controlling cost, schedule, progress reporting and forecasting.
• Lead Pre‑Feasibility, Feasibility and FEED phases, developing scopes, execution strategies and cost estimates.
• Contract and coordinate design, engineering and cost‑estimation consultants to produce Class 2 estimates and detailed designs.
• Maintain integrated project schedules (Level 5), risk registers and mitigation plans across study, design, procurement and construction.
• Define and manage scope for accommodation, warehouse, workshops and supporting site services.
• Engage stakeholders across site operations, technical functions and corporate teams to align infrastructure solutions with operational needs.
• Plan workforce demand, camp sizing and long‑lead item procurement in line with an EPC delivery model.
• Develop the Project Execution Plan, contracting strategy, tender evaluation and oversee execution through construction and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven project management experience delivering infrastructure or capital projects in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracting models, execution planning and contractor interface management.
• Experience in feasibility studies, cost estimation, risk management and governance reporting.
