Specialist Site Engineering – Procurement Projects

About the role

BHP is seeking a Specialist to join the WAIO Procurement Site Engineering Projects team. The role provides functional support to WAIO Site Engineering, ensuring the successful delivery of construction contracts through strategic sourcing and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for construction contracts, aligning with BHP’s Charter and Global Standards.
• Draft high‑quality tender and contract documents to minimise ambiguity and reduce claim risk.
• Manage contract variations, risk allocation, and commercial pricing models (fixed lump sum, cost‑reimbursable, target cost).
• Provide contract management support throughout the contract life‑cycle, including performance monitoring and KPI reporting.
• Lead negotiations with vendors and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, social value, environmental, and sustainability objectives.

Required profile

• Professional experience in procurement and contract administration for construction projects.
• Strong collaborative skills to work within the WAIO Site Engineering Projects team.
• Willingness to travel to company offices and sites as required.
• Ability to influence procurement strategy and manage stakeholder expectations.
