Primary Teacher (0.6 FTE, Parental Leave Cover)

About the role

The ACC Casey campus is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a 0.6 FTE (part‑time) parental‑leave cover role starting Term 1, 2027. This temporary position will involve delivering the primary curriculum and supporting a Christian learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement a range of teaching programs that meet the diverse needs of all students.
• Maintain a child‑safe environment and follow all school child‑safety policies and procedures.
• Record class attendance, track student progress and implement effective student management strategies.
• Participate in staff meetings, devotions, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Evidence of right to work in Australia and a valid Working with Children Check.
• Committed Christian willing to share faith and uphold the school’s values.
• High expectations for student academic and behavioural outcomes.

Required skills

• Strong pedagogical practice aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
