Online Child Safe and Wellbeing Leader

About the role

The Australian Christian College (ACC) Victoria Online is seeking a committed Christian Child Safe and Wellbeing Leader to join its growing online school. This permanent, full‑time position is based at the Casey campus in Cranbourne South and will start in Term 1 2027. The role oversees student safety and wellbeing across a virtual learning environment, ensuring compliance with Victorian Child Safe Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for child safety and wellbeing concerns, providing advice and support to staff, students and families.
• Identify, assess and respond to student wellbeing risks, escalating according to the Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy.
• Monitor student engagement and wellbeing indicators (attendance, communication, wellbeing data) to flag at‑risk students.
• Coordinate virtual visits, assess students’ place of learning and implement follow‑up actions.
• Develop and implement targeted interventions, including wellbeing plans and communication plans with families.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, leadership and external agencies to support student safety.
• Maintain accurate records of wellbeing concerns and actions in the Student Information System.
• Contribute to the development, review and implementation of child safety and wellbeing policies.

• Exercises sound judgement in complex situations and is confident working with families and external agencies.
• Proficient in using digital platforms to support student engagement and wellbeing.
• Committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for all students, including those from diverse backgrounds.
