Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant (OT, EP, Physio)

About the role

Support people to rebuild confidence, independence and hope as they recover from injury or illness. You will walk alongside clients, helping them navigate recovery, return to work and reconnect with what matters most.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients’ rehabilitation needs – physical, ergonomic, psychosocial or functional capacity evaluations.
• Co‑design and deliver tailored rehabilitation plans, set meaningful recovery or employment goals.
• Manage cases end‑to‑end, coordinating with workplaces, healthcare providers and insurers, monitoring progress and adjusting plans.
• Provide expert advice on ergonomics, workplace modification, functional capacity and return‑to‑work based on clinical specialism.
• Build relationships with clients, treating practitioners, employers and insurers to achieve shared recovery outcomes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health field and AHPRA/ASORC professional registration.
• Full Australian working rights, a driver’s licence and willingness to work in varied settings.
• Current Working With Children Check and ability to pass a national criminal check.
• Collaborative, problem‑solving mindset with strong communication and empathy.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or exercise physiology.
• Ability to conduct ergonomic and functional capacity assessments.
• Experience delivering return‑to‑work and workplace‑health interventions.
