Microsoft Technology Account Lead – Utilities

About the role

The Microsoft Technology Account Lead (MTAL) drives trusted relationships with clients, Accenture and Microsoft, overseeing sales, revenue, delivery and client satisfaction for Microsoft‑focused solutions within the utilities sector.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary Microsoft advisor for C‑suite clients, managing strategic relationships and developing account plans.
• Lead the creation and execution of a Microsoft strategy, championing AI and innovation across the account.
• Direct cross‑functional teams to design and configure complex, tailored Microsoft solutions and oversee bid responses, pricing and risk controls.
• Identify growth opportunities, develop renewal strategies and ensure delivery oversight for customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• 7+ years of enterprise sales or customer‑management experience with a proven record of driving growth in a service‑based environment.
• 7+ years leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex Microsoft solutions aligned to client strategy.
• Strong business acumen, ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders and track performance against KPIs.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., Azure, Microsoft AI).
• Familiarity with Microsoft certifications – foundational or higher level preferred.
• Experience in the utilities industry and ability to articulate Microsoft differentiation versus other cloud providers.
