Manager, Audit and Assurance

About the role

KPMG Australia is seeking an experienced Manager to lead complex audit engagements for large, public listed clients. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality audit services while mentoring teams and ensuring audit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, execution, and delivery of audit opinions in line with professional standards.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on high‑judgement matters and emerging issues across sectors such as energy, logistics, retail, and pharmaceuticals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development and client service excellence.

Required profile

• Proven track record in large and complex group audit engagements.
• Strong leadership and team‑mentoring abilities with a focus on audit quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced IFRS knowledge.
• Familiarity with US‑SOX requirements (desirable).
