Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12‑month maximum‑term contract. This hybrid role is based in Sydney, offering flexibility to work from home and two days per week in the office. You will gain exposure across Financial Control and Commercial Finance, supporting month‑end reporting, reconciliations, analysis, and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post month‑end journals and complete balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain and enhance financial workpapers for statutory reporting and audits.
• Assist with month‑end close, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Support internal and external audit activities and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Load and validate data in reporting, forecasting and planning systems, and maintain financial models.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualified, or working towards qualification.
• 5+ years' experience in management accounting, commercial analysis or financial accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, month‑end processes and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP, reporting and planning systems.
