Lending Specialist – Mortgage Lending

About the role

The Lending Specialist will support finance brokers throughout the end‑to‑end loan application and lending process for Australian mortgage products. You will ensure applications are complete, accurate and meet lender policies, while maintaining professional communication with clients, brokers and lenders.

Key responsibilities

• Review client financial information, income documents, bank statements, liabilities and assets for completeness and accuracy.
• Assess loan applications against lender policies, serviceability requirements and credit criteria.
• Liaise with banks, lenders, BDMs, mortgage brokers, solicitors, valuers and other stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve issues.
• Follow up on conditional approvals, valuations, documentation, formal approvals and settlements.
• Ensure all application documents are properly formatted and submitted within required timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Australian mortgage lending, finance broking, loan processing, credit assessment or banking.
• Strong understanding of Australian mortgage and lending processes, including serviceability assessment and settlement procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for interaction with Australian clients, brokers and lenders.
