About the role

Canterbury College is seeking a dedicated Junior School Teacher to join its high‑performing, award‑winning Anglican community. This full‑time position involves delivering engaging, innovative lessons and supporting the holistic development of each child.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and deliver learning programs that meet diverse student needs.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan, evaluate and modify teaching programmes.
• Set high expectations and challenging learning goals for all students.
• Prepare accurate, timely reports on student progress for parents and carers.
• Maintain records of attendance and achievement.
• Participate in assemblies, worship and other school activities.
• Model inclusive practices and support colleagues in creating a positive classroom environment.
• Contribute to the College’s co‑curricular program.

Required profile

• Current Queensland College of Teacher registration.
• Degree or diploma relevant to teaching.
• Willingness to work within a collaborative, well‑established team.
• Demonstrated ability to apply inclusive teaching principles and use learning technologies.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to the education of young children and to the College’s values.
