About the role
Canterbury College is seeking a dedicated Junior School Teacher to join its high‑performing, award‑winning Anglican community. This full‑time position involves delivering engaging, innovative lessons and supporting the holistic development of each child.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and deliver learning programs that meet diverse student needs.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, evaluate and modify teaching programmes.
- Set high expectations and challenging learning goals for all students.
- Prepare accurate, timely reports on student progress for parents and carers.
- Maintain records of attendance and achievement.
- Participate in assemblies, worship and other school activities.
- Model inclusive practices and support colleagues in creating a positive classroom environment.
- Contribute to the College’s co‑curricular program.
Required profile
- Current Queensland College of Teacher registration.
- Degree or diploma relevant to teaching.
- Willingness to work within a collaborative, well‑established team.
- Demonstrated ability to apply inclusive teaching principles and use learning technologies.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to the education of young children and to the College’s values.
