IT Site Technician – On‑site Support for Manufacturing

About the role
We are seeking a practical, people‑focused IT Site Technician to join our team in Laverton, Victoria. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you will support our manufacturing and construction sites across Victoria and New South Wales, ensuring critical technology runs smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Commission and decommission site technology including workstations, printers, routers, switches, access points, meeting‑room systems, time‑and‑attendance devices and CCTV.
- Develop, publish and maintain standard site setup protocols, runbooks, checklists and network topology diagrams (WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, VLANs, DHCP/DNS).
- Build and maintain physical network infrastructure – run cables, mount APs, configure switches and firewalls.
- Maintain bills of materials for typical site sizes and ensure stock availability.
- Proactively monitor site technology for performance and uptime.
- Plan and conduct scheduled site visits for stocktakes, audits and preventive maintenance.
- Provide hands‑on support for technical issues at factory and construction sites.
- Document site configurations and keep accurate equipment records.
- System administration of construction and manufacturing line‑of‑business applications.
Required profile
- Practical and people‑focused with strong hands‑on technical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with manufacturing and construction teams.
- Willingness to travel between sites in Victoria and New South Wales.
Required skills
- Workstation and printer setup and configuration.
- Router, switch and access‑point installation and configuration.
- CCTV system maintenance.
- Network topology design (WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, VLANs, DHCP, DNS).
- Cable installation and physical network build‑out.
- Firewall configuration.
- System administration of line‑of‑business applications.
