HR Adviser

About the role

The HR Adviser will join the People & Culture team supporting the ABC News Division. You will provide complex HR advice, manage employee relations issues and contribute to strategic HR projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality HR services across employee relations, performance management, recruitment, learning & development and organisational change.
• Act as an escalation point for the People & Culture Helpdesk and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Tri­age and manage a range of HR matters in partnership with Senior HR Advisers and HR Business Partners.
• Support HR projects and initiatives that shape workforce strategy and promote an inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Proactive and curious with a genuine interest in people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trusted relationships.
• Flexible, solutions‑focused and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Commitment to professionalism and the ABC’s values.

Required skills

• Experience in HR, preferably in shared services or advisory capacity.
