Healthcare Compliance Officer – Australia & New Zealand

About the role

The Healthcare Compliance Officer (ANZ) will lead compliance strategy and operations for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring ethical conduct and risk management in line with global and regional priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Healthcare Compliance Officer for Australia and New Zealand markets.
• Develop and execute compliance strategies aligned with global and APAC priorities.
• Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks related to commercial, promotional, and professional education activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to business leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and market activities.
• Oversee training, monitoring, risk assessments, and issue management across assigned markets.
• Partner with Legal to support investigations, audits, and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends to anticipate emerging risks.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, or audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams or complex compliance programs.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
