Food Monitor - Casual

About the role

Bayside Health, a public health service covering metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland, is offering casual Food Monitor opportunities in Frankston. The Food Monitor supports a safe, efficient and patient-centred food service by managing patient meal selections through an electronic menu management system, working within the Food Services team.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with patients, nursing staff, dietitians, speech pathologists, carers and other team members to provide meals according to individual dietary, cultural, spiritual and clinical needs
• Maintain accurate meal records and generate production reports
• Manage meal-related enquiries and support food service operations
• Deliver professional customer service and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and organisational standards

Required profile

• Food Safety Handler Certificate HLTFSE001 (post 2015)
• Previous experience as a Menu Monitor in a similar health setting (desirable)
• Ability to apply risk management strategies so that service deliverables are not compromised
