Finance Manager – Financial Reporting

About the role

This senior Finance Manager position leads the Group’s statutory and technical accounting reporting across a high‑growth infrastructure business operating in Australia and the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will own half‑year and full‑year financial statements, manage the external audit relationship and develop a best‑in‑class reporting function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and sign off half‑year and full‑year statutory financial statements under IFRS and AASB.
• Produce board and Audit & Risk Committee papers, highlighting key judgments and outcomes.
• Serve as the Group’s technical expert on revenue, lease, financial instrument and business combination accounting.
• Draft and review technical position papers and advise on major transactions before execution.
• Lead the end‑to‑end external audit process, resolving complex issues with auditors.
• Maintain and enhance the Group accounting policy framework and reporting controls.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in external reporting, technical accounting or audit, including Big 4 or mid‑tier experience.
• CA/CPA qualified with deep, current knowledge of IFRS and AASB.
• Proven ownership of the full statutory reporting cycle for a listed or complex multi‑entity group.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external audits from start to finish.
• Strong technical writing skills for senior and board‑level audiences.
• Experience leading and developing finance professionals.
