Engineering Mobile Lead

About the role

Computershare is seeking an experienced Engineering Mobile Lead to join its Global Development Engineering team in Melbourne. This hybrid role combines hands‑on development with technical leadership, focusing on building modern, scalable, and secure mobile applications for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and development of cross‑platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mobile engineers, establishing best‑practice standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into innovative mobile solutions.
• Drive performance, scalability, security and reliability improvements for mobile apps.
• Oversee CI/CD processes, deployment and release management, and ensure seamless API integrations with backend teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience developing mobile applications, especially with React Native.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and modern mobile development frameworks.
• Solid understanding of iOS and Android platforms and native development concepts.
• Experience designing enterprise‑scale mobile solutions and working with REST APIs and authentication frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers and manage stakeholder relationships.
