Engineering & Maintenance Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering team at the Kwinana Energy Recovery plant, Australia’s first large‑scale waste‑to‑energy facility. Reporting to the O&M Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient and compliant operation of a 24‑hour shift plant that converts up to 460,000 tonnes of waste into renewable electricity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high‑performing engineering team, mentor staff and build capability focused on plant availability.
• Drive a strong safety culture and embed ACCIONA’s quality, safety and environmental objectives.
• Own asset and maintenance delivery, ensuring activities are completed on time and strategic plans are developed for facility availability.
• Manage contracts and contractors, controlling work areas and ensuring contractual performance.
• Report on performance, prepare submissions, reports and KPIs for senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of industry experience, including leading large, diverse project teams.

• Advanced Excel.
