Digital Workplace Platforms Engineer

About the role

Bupa is hiring a Digital Workplace Platforms Engineer in Melbourne, Australia, within its Digital Workplace Team in Technology Operations and Employee Experience. The engineer helps deliver and support the platforms that let Bupa Australia's people connect, collaborate and work effectively, using technologies such as Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Power BI/Fabric and Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services end-to-end, focusing on messaging, intranet, conferencing and collaboration tools.
• Contribute to strategic projects and production service initiatives.
• Deliver and support Digital Workplace Platforms services in line with Bupa's technology strategy, standards and architectural objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service issues through Bupa's operational processes, including rostered on-call support.
• Identify and help mitigate risks associated with Digital Workplace Platforms.
• Lead research and proof of concept activities for emerging technologies.
• Review and improve processes to increase team productivity and efficiency.
• Provide SME advice and technical support to teams and stakeholders, and mentor and coach team members.

Required profile

• At least three years' experience supporting three or more of the listed technologies.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems or a related business discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong influencing, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work across teams, strategic and innovative thinking, strong commercial acumen and leadership capability.

• Microsoft Teams
• Power Platform, Power BI or Fabric
• Experience in Microsoft 365 licensing, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power BI report development, business analysis, process documentation or consultancy is highly regarded.
