Customer Field Technician - Sydney Metro

About the role

nbn is hiring Customer Field Technicians for its Sydney Metro network. This is a permanent, full-time, hands-on, field-based role that connects and supports customers in their homes and businesses across a range of nbn technologies. Each day brings new locations, challenges and learning opportunities, working both indoors and outdoors, including at heights and in confined spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Install new services and maintain network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot faults and keep customers informed and supported
• Work independently and manage your own workload

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience needed; previous trades or hands-on technical jobs such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, labouring, construction or manufacturing are highly valued
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and speaking with customers
• Strong commitment to safety, clear communication skills and a current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia
