Community Lead – Sydney

About the role

Rapha is seeking a Community Lead to bring its cycling brand to life in Sydney. You will be the face of Rapha, delivering memorable on‑bike experiences and driving growth for the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC). The role blends event programming, ambassador management, and digital engagement to build a vibrant local cycling community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a robust, diverse calendar of rides that attracts both existing RCC members and new participants.
• Plan and execute high‑impact events and regional activations such as W100 and FAR to strengthen community bonds and increase brand exposure.
• Recruit, coordinate, and support a team of local ride leaders and brand ambassadors, ensuring all experiences meet Rapha’s standards.
• Collaborate with the Clubhouse Manager to align the RCC presence with brand expectations within the physical Clubhouse.
• Drive RCC membership growth and retention through open rides, proactive clienteling, and data tracking using PowerBi.
• Create, edit, and share engaging social‑media content and newsletters that inform and attract the local cycling community.
• Identify and develop partnerships with local influencers, ambassadors, and relevant organisations to expand Rapha’s reach.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience organising community events and cycling rides.
• Strong ability to manage and motivate volunteer ambassadors and ride leaders.
• Passion for cycling and deep understanding of local cycling culture.
• Excellent communication skills for both in‑person and digital channels.
• Analytical mindset with experience using data tools to monitor community growth.
