About the role
Join Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour’s culinary team as a Commis Chef in In‑Room Dining, delivering refined, high‑quality dishes to guests in their rooms. You will work alongside experienced chefs to uphold the brand’s French Art de Vivre standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items for in‑room service with precision and creativity.
- Maintain immaculate workstations and adhere to strict hygiene, food safety and HACCP standards.
- Support timely service by coordinating with the kitchen and service teams.
Required profile
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery.
- Hands‑on experience in high‑end or fine‑dining kitchens.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with full Australian working rights.
Required skills
- Proficiency in HACCP and food safety procedures.
- Strong culinary techniques for plating and presentation.
