Clinical Consultant – Cardiac Support Solutions

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Clinical Consultant to join Abiomed’s team in Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, you will drive patient growth and clinical outcomes for the Impella® heart pump platform, the world’s smallest percutaneous heart pumps.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site clinical expertise for Impella implanting centres and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage training programmes for new and existing accounts and develop site super‑users in Protected PCI and cardiogenic shock treatment.
• Advise on protocol adoption, analyse institutional needs, and expand referral bases.
• Educate stakeholders on hemodynamic support, clinical data, and develop relationships with key opinion leaders.

Required profile

• Clinical or technical degree in critical/intensive care, perfusion, or nursing.
• 5+ years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in industry.
• Experience in critical care, cardiac surgery, or mechanical circulatory support.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and provide 24/7 emergency support.
