Business Development Manager (Plant Hire)

About the role

Select Plant Australia, one of Australia's largest specialist plant hire providers, is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Seven Hills, NSW. The role focuses on acquiring new customers and building strong relationships with existing clients within a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to growth ambitions by improving revenue and share of wallet through understanding the market, the customer and delivering solutions.
• Develop and present tender submissions, quotations and tailored value propositions.
• Apply approved pricing structures to clients and help achieve sales objectives.
• Pursue new business leads and opportunities, and hold planned face-to-face meetings with key clients throughout their lifecycle.
• Identify key decision makers and recommend communication approaches to the regional manager for multi-level engagement.
• Liaise with Regional Managers on market intelligence covering trends, investment opportunities, competitor activity and development opportunities.
• Negotiate with potential clients and support regional teams so they have a competitive edge.

Required profile

• Advanced sales and business experience.
• Account management experience.
• Tertiary education.
• Rental or services industry sales experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
