Business Development Manager – Energy & Resources (Brisbane)

About the role

Sodexo is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Energy & Resources segment in Brisbane. You will build a robust pipeline of opportunities, lead bid strategies, and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients to support our vision of innovation and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities for the Energy & Resources segment.
• Enter and manage prospect details in the sales system, tracking bid pipelines.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders in client organisations to understand upcoming projects.
• Create partnerships with clients, investors, suppliers and industry bodies to generate new projects.
• Provide market intelligence and monitor competitors across APAC Energy & Resources.
• Identify organic growth opportunities within existing contracts and collaborate with internal teams.
• Prepare, present and manage responses to tenders, cross‑bids and rebids.
• Support the development and execution of strategic business plans and new product concepts.
• Prepare compliant financial and commercial proposals.
• Maintain client relationships throughout the project lifecycle to reinforce the “clients for life” philosophy.

Required profile

• Hospitality or Facilities Management background (advantageous).
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Business, Marketing, Technical or a related commercial discipline.
• Proven negotiation skills and a track record of winning new business.
• Active participation in relevant industry associations.
