Brokerage Assist Specialist

About the role

The Brokerage Assist Specialist (BA Agent) supports customer accounts by ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, validating brokerage setups, and managing shipment monitoring and exception handling. This role works closely with Account Executives, brokerage teams, and customers to mitigate customs clearance risks and strengthen long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Review and confirm enrolment requests, validate customer documentation, and create/maintain customer profiles.
• Conduct welcome calls, guide customers through the first three shipments, and monitor for customs issues.
• Collaborate with internal brokerage teams to resolve shipment delays and perform root‑cause analysis on holds.
• Document onboarding outcomes, report trends, and present closing summaries on On‑Time Release performance.
• Coordinate handover with Account Executives and follow up on special cases such as FTA compliance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of cross‑border customs brokerage compliance and regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, analyze problems, and communicate effectively.
