Bookkeeper with Simpro Experience

About the role

A full-time Bookkeeper with hands-on Simpro experience is sought to support the finance and operations team. The role suits someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys keeping accurate financial records and is comfortable navigating job management systems in trade or service-based industries. The position is based in the Australian Eastern Standard Time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, quotes and job-related financial documents through Simpro.
• Monitor job costs, margins and financial workflows in Simpro to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare regular reports such as P&L statements, balance sheets and cash flow summaries.
• Support payroll preparation by gathering timesheets, verifying job allocations and checking data entry.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Resolve discrepancies with internal teams and coordinate job details.
• Keep digital records organised and compliant with company policies and industry standards, and provide general finance and documentation administration.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Practical experience using Simpro for job management, invoicing and financial workflows.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
