About the role
The Academy of Sport and Wellbeing at UHI Perth is seeking a Bank Receptionist to provide a professional, customer‑focused front‑of‑house service. Working on a variable, as‑required schedule, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and students, delivering a friendly and informative experience.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, answer enquiries and direct them to appropriate staff or services.
- Handle administrative and financial tasks related to the reception area.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all Academy services to provide accurate information.
- Manage reception desk operations during opening hours (6:45 am‑10:00 pm weekdays, 7:45 am‑8:00 pm weekends).
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
Required profile
- Flexible and able to work variable hours agreed at least two weeks in advance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and perform basic financial transactions.
- Willingness to undergo a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.

What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract for 6 months, part‑time.
- Salary pro‑rated between £27,501 and £28,266 per annum.
